A California woman is accused of being a sexual predator by targeting a 12-year-old girl in Spring, allegedly sending her sexually explicit pictures, according to authorities.

Investigators said 20-year-old Alyssia Renee Perkins fell in love with the 12-year-old Spring girl over Instagram.[…]

“The 20-year-old was telling the 12-year-old what she wanted to do to her, sexual acts. And professing love. The typical what we call grooming exercises,” said Sgt. Gary Spurger, with Harris County Precinct 4 constables.

From San Diego, Perkins flew across the country to meet the girl last Friday. She faces two counts of online solicitation of a minor.
