NJ Woman Charged with Sex Assault of Boy, 5

(Englewood, New Jersey) A 33-year-old local woman, Roxanne Hewitt, has been accused of sexually abusing a 5-year-old boy.

According to Bergen County Prosecutor John L. Molinelli, Hewitt faces two counts of aggravated sexual assault and one count of child endangerment.

The boy’s mother contacted city police early Wednesday morning to report that Hewitt had sexually assaulted her son, Molinelli added. Authorities went to Hewitt’s home where they found her while the child was taken to Hackensack University Medical Center.

Molinelli said the boy detailed the sexual contact in an interview with police and prosecutor’s office detectives.

Hewitt was booked into custody at the Bergen County Jail with bail set at $200,000.
