A 57-year-old school teacher that resigned after being arrested, accepted a plea bargain, Wednesday morning, in Drew County Circuit Court.Details on the conviction not reported.
Helen Banks, a former Drew Central High School teacher, agreed to a term of 8 years probation and will be required to register as a sex offender.

(Drew County, Arkansas) A 57-year-old teacher at Drew Central High School, Helen Banks, has been accused of sexual assault of a female student.
Banks faces a charge of felony sexual assault in the 2nd degree.
Banks was interviewed by authorities stemming from an investigation which alleged that Banks was having inappropriate contact and communication with a 16-year-old female student.Official charges will be determined by the prosecutor.
Banks admitted to the allegations during the interview, she was booked into the Drew County Detention Facility and has since bonded out on a $25,000 commercial bond.
