Pennsylvania Teacher and Two Male Students
(Moon Township, Pennsylvania) A 26-year-old teacher with the New Brighton Area School District, Tiffany Leiseth, has been accused of engaging in sex with two male students in the days before graduation.
Leiseth faces counts of felony institutional sexual assault and a misdemeanor charge of furnishing alcohol to minors.
"The alleged crimes occurred just hours after the final classes ended, but before the students graduated," Moon police said in a written statement.Leiseth was booked and released on her own recognizance.
Both students are 18 -- an age at which someone can legally consent to sex in Pennsylvania.
Still, police allege that it was a crime because the incidents occurred when Leiseth still had a teacher-student relationship with the male students.
"It is not normally unlawful for consenting adults to engage in sexual relations. However, in this context it is a crime," said the statement from Moon police.
