Louisiana Teachers Continuing Sex Case - Update

Former Destrehan High School teacher Shelley Dufresne, 32, of Montz closed the books on her criminal case in St. Charles Parish on Thursday (April 9) by pleading guilty to obscenity, for having sex at a home in Montz with a 16-year-old student. But her legal troubles aren't over.

Nor are those of Rachel Respess, 24, her former co-worker. Both are accused of having group sex with the same student in Respess' Kenner apartment on Sept. 12.

Two Louisiana Teachers Accused of Threesome with Student

(Destrehan, Louisiana) Two English teachers at Destrehan High School, Shelley Dufresne, 33, and Rachel Respess, 23, were arrested after allegedly having a threesome with a 16-year-old student.

Dufresne and Respess each face counts of carnal knowledge of a juvenile and contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile.

The student bragged to classmates about having sex with two teachers, which resulted in a St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office investigation at Destrehan on Friday, Sept. 26.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, the first crime took place in the early part of September in Montz.

A second incident allegedly took place in Kenner after the Destrehan versus Helen Cox football game on Friday, Sept. 12. Kenner Police Chief Michael Glaser said both teachers are accused of having sex with the student in Respess' home on West Esplanade Avenue that night.

Details on arrests and bookings are unclear.
