Washington Teacher Gets No Jail in Student Sex Case
(Okanogan, Washington) A 37-year-old former librarian at Tonasket High School, Elizabeth Kinkade, has been accused of engaging in sex with an 18-year-old student.
Consequently, Kinkade accepted a plea agreement sentencing her to nine months on electronic home monitoring.
Okanogan County Superior Court Judge Chris Culp said he approved the agreement because the 18-year-old boy did not want to pursue charges.Kinkade was fired from her librarian job.
Reports said Kinkade was arrested in May after she told deputies her husband had fired a gun outside their home when she told him she was having an affair with a student.
