Tennessee Woman Accused of Domestic Assault

Jacquetta Benson

(Johnson City, Tennessee) A 34-year-old local woman, Jacquetta Benson, has been arrested for hitting her 16-year-old niece Dimitri Hall in the head with a beer bottle.

Benson faces a charge of aggravated domestic assault.
After Hall drove Benson’s vehicle, it malfunctioned due to an issue with the battery. The breakdown angered Benson and she blamed Hall for messing up the car and demanded money to fix it. According to the affidavit, Benson was intoxicated when she went to Hall’s residence and started cursing and screaming. Hall went to her bedroom, but Benson followed her and pushed the girl’s face. That’s when the two began to fight.

Witnesses broke up the fight, but Benson allegedly picked up an empty Corona beer bottle and hit Hall on the top of her head with it. Benson eventually left, according to police. Hall had swelling and an abrasion on top her head from the alleged attack, according to the warrant. Two witnesses corroborated Hall’s account of what happened, police said.
