Indiana Woman Accused of Sex with Minor
(Owensburg, Indiana) A 33-year-old local woman, Crystal R. Caswell, has been accused of engaging in an extended-term sexual relationship with an underage male student.
Caswell faces a charge of sexual misconduct with a minor.
Detective James O'Malley of the Greene County Sheriff's Department has been investigating this case since early February. At that time, Greene County Sheriff's Deputy Davis Aerne took the initial report when a complaint was received then provided information to the detective.Caswell was released after posting $1,500 bond.
In the course of the investigation, O'Malley interviewed several individuals including the alleged victim, checked phone records, video surveillance footage, numerous financial transactions and school attendance records.[…]
The detective also alleges Caswell paid for motel rooms in Bedford and Bloomington on several occasions -- a review of her credit card transactions revealed she rented rooms on 16 different occasions at four different motels. He also discovered she paid to rent a storage room at a storage rental facility in Bedford and the facility provided surveillance video showing Caswell entering and exiting the property with a passenger, -- the rental unit was allegedly furnished with an inflatable mattress, air pump and bed covers. Other encounters allegedly occurred in an RV parked at Caswell's residence.
