Lezzos do it too

West Australia:

A FEMALE schoolteacher has appeared in court accused of sexually assaulting a 15-year-old student over 10 months and possession of child exploitation images and video.

The 26-year-old woman was charged last month with 23 sexual offences committed against a 15-year-old girl between July last year and May, including sexual penetration and indecent dealing with a child.

A new charge of possessing child exploitation material was revealed on Tuesday.

Police said hundreds of child exploitation images and videos, allegedly recorded during the same period as the other offending, were found on electronic devices during a search of her Forrestfield home last month.

The woman, who cannot be named to protect the identity of the child, appeared in Midland Magistrates Court on Tuesday but was not required to enter a plea and is due back in court on July 12.

Child Abuse Squad detectives said the girl was 15 at the time of the first offence and the woman was the girl’s teacher.

The woman faces 15 counts of sexual penetration of a child over 13 years and under 16 years; two counts of sexual penetration of a child over 16 years under her authority; five counts of indecently dealing with a child over 13 years and under 16 years; and one count of persistent sexual conduct with a child under 16 years.

Child Abuse Squad Detectives executed a search warrant at the woman’s Forrestfield home on Saturday, May 28 and allegedly seized a number of electronic devices.

Police allegedly found 104 Category 1 child exploitation images; 11 Category 3 child exploitation material images and two Category 3 child exploitation videos.

It will be alleged the child exploitation material was recorded between July 2015 and May 2016.
