DOPER JUDGE GETS SUSPENDED

(Traverse City, Michigan) Judge Thomas Gilbert gets paid $138,000 per year to make rulings in the Michigan court system and has sentenced at least 50 people for controlled substance violations in the past two years. But not now.

The Michigan Supreme Court has suspended Judge Gilbert for repeatedly smoking marijuana. The suspension is for six months and he intends to return to the bench at that time. Gilbert has apologized and said he did it because of alcoholism.

Jeez! Does this mean that alcohol is a gateway drug for marijuana? And how in the hell does an alcoholic dope-smoker become a judge?
