Trial Set for Alleged Molester

(Farmington Hills, Michigan) A married mother of three, 41-year-old Jami Lee Knox, was in Oakland County Circuit Court yesterday for a pre-trial hearing to determine a trial date. Judge Rae Lee Chabot set the trial for November 27.

As a reminder, Knox has been charged with criminal sexual conduct for engaging in an ongoing sexual relationship with a 15-year-old boy who is her son's friend. Knox is accused of luring the boy into numerous sex sessions and sometimes even posed as the boy's mother and called the school to get him released.

Knox faces three counts of criminal sexual conduct and three counts of using a computer to commit a crime. Conviction carries 45 to 75 months in prison.

A final pre-trial hearing is set for October 30. The defense and the prosecution are still in discussions seeking a mutual understanding of the case and options for sentencing if she pleads guilty. The prosecutor said he would not offer a plea bargain. In the meantime, Knox remains free on $50,000 bail.
