Teacher, 31, Accused of Getting Doped with Student, 14

(Santa Barbara, California) A 31-year-old teacher at Goleta Valley Junior High School, Melissa Dunning, faces charges related to providing and smoking marijuana with a 14-year-old student under her tutelage. Two counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor and one count of furnishing a student with marijuana have been filed.

The sheriff's department launched an investigation after the boy's parents relayed their suspicions that Dunning and their son had been smoking dope together during a tutoring session. It's alleged that a second 14-year-old boy was also involved.

The investigation into the matter continues.
