Soccer Mom Accused of Stealing from Soccer League

(Ocala, Florida) A 40-year-old local soccer mom, Priscilla A. Bellcase, has been accused of stealing $79,000 from the youth soccer where she was the treasurer.
Police said Bellcase wrote checks for cash and endorsed them herself or forged the name of another board member to defraud the soccer league.

League President Brian Behan said the stolen cash came from concessions, registrations and sponsorship money.

"I can't believe that somebody would allow themselves to get carried away in such a manner, knowing that eventually it would hurt so many people," Behan said.

Board members said that bills they thought Bellcase paid apparently went into her pocket.

"It broke us, essentially," Behan said.
Bellcase has been charged with organized fraud. She was booked into custody at the Marion County Jail and released on $10,000 bond.
