WV Woman Guilty of Sex Assault of Boy

(Parkersburg, West Virginia) In January, a 24-year-old Williamstown woman, Amber Ward, was indicted on two counts of third-degree sexual assault stemming from a relationship with a 15-year-old boy. The relations allegedly occurred between September 2007 and May 2008.

Earlier today, Ward pleaded guilty to two counts of third-degree sexual assault. Wood County officials said that one count of sexual assault was dropped in accordance with the plea deal.

Ward is free on bond. Sentencing is scheduled for June 12.
