Ohio Teacher Gets Probation in Sex Case

(Tiffin, Ohio) In July 2009, a 37-year-old teacher's aide at Bridges Community Academy, Kimberly K. Schwochow, was indicted for allegedly engaging in sexual conduct with a student. She was charged with third-degree felony sexual battery.

Yesterday in Seneca County Court, Schwochow pleaded guilty to the third-degree charge. However, Judge Michael Kelbley did not find her guilty. Instead, he put aside the guilty plea and ordered a one-year diversion program.

In addition, Schwochow pleaded guilty to two counts of misdemeanor contributing to unruliness or delinquency of a minor. As a result, she received five years of probation.
