A Castaic woman allegedly attempted to strike a 7-year-old girl with an SUV while the girl was walking her dog on the sidewalk near the woman’s home, authorities said Tuesday.

The woman, 57, was arrested on suspicion of child endangerment likely to cause great bodily injury or death. She was being held Tuesday at the Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood on $100,000 bail, according to arrest records.

Neighbors said Tuesday that the woman frequently drives erratically and curses at children.

Reportedly, the woman is viewed as a real menace to neighborhood children. She seems to have issues or something.
