Pennsylvania Woman Sentenced for Sex with Boy - Update
sentenced to nine to 23 months in the York County Prison for sexually assaulting a teenage boy.
Phillips pleaded guilty in February to first-degree statutory sexual assault. She has been in custody since her arrest in October 2013. Also:
She received a consecutive two years of probation for the statutory assault charge. Additional charges of indecent assault, corruption and unlawful contact with a minor were dismissed in the negotiated plea. So, it appears that Phillips has only 45 days left to serve. How fortuitous, eh?
A sexual offender assessment determined that Phillips is not a sexually violent predator. Still, in accordance with Megan's Law, she must register with the Pennsylvania State Police as a sex offender.
Phillips will get credit for the 7 1/2 months she already has served in prison while awaiting prosecution, according to Judge Michael E. Bortner's sentencing ruling.
