Virginia Woman Accused of Child Abuse

(Norfolk, Virginia) A 45-year-old local woman, Donna Evette Manson, has been accused of child abuse after an investigation by the Suffolk Police Department.

Manson faces counts of child abuse or neglect, child cruelty and more.

The charges are related to incidents that occurred during September and October of 2013.

They involved alleged physical and emotional abuse on a juvenile family member while in her care when she lived in Suffolk.

The child was immediately removed from her care following the investigation.

Manson was booked into custody at the Western Tidewater Regional Jail without bond.
