Illinois Woman Accused of Child Abuse

On Jan. 29, the East Moline Police Department received a report from the Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) regarding possible child abuse at an in-home daycare operated by Roxanne Coulson, 60, 3708 10th St., East Moline.

The child's mother reported the complaint to DCFS, and DCFS investigators and East Moline detectives investigated at the licensed residential day care, which Ms. Coulson operated from her home.

Ms. Coulson is charged with Class 3 felony aggravated battery of a child and Class A misdemeanor endangering the life and health of a child.

Coulson was booked into custody at the Rock Island County Jail with bond set at $25,000.
